Hi friend's! Welcome to the Beachouse Quilt Retreat with you hostess Yvonne @quiltydream and co-host Suzie @seamrippingsuz. We are really excited to plan this resort style retreat for you. Both Suzie and I have attended a couple retreats. Suzie more than me. They have all been amazing experiences. The quilty bonding and sewing is one of the best experiences. We plan to bring all our experiences with swapping,sewing, and retreating to you in our hometown from one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. We will also strive to bring that hometown vibe to you as well by taking you on a small tour of some of the gulf coast’s top landmark which will include our local fabric store, A and E Fabrics. This place is definitely a can’t miss place for any quilter! The tour is optional, but highly recommended. 😉
This retreat location offers a nice open space for sewing while viewing the most amazing white, sandy beaches in the world. The beach house sits right between the bay and the Gulf of Mexico. It was built a year ago. So, every room is fresh and modern. I’ve tested the beds and you’ll be sleeping in comfort with pillow top mattress. The house has a heated pool, a golf cart for easy access to the beach, and large tvs if you just want to relax. There is plenty of porch space and a roof top lanai for any hand peicing projects you may want to do. The great room will be converted to an open sewing area and we will have plenty of room for sewing tables and ironing and sewing stations that will be set up when you arrive. You can sew or just relax in the luxury.

The meals are included in price. We will get your dietary and medical needs when you sign up with the google form, and send all details then. The retreat is non-refundable, but transferable. We will make every effort to get your spot filled if you cannot come to retreat.
Secret sister and Swaps
Secret sister is one of the most ultimate swapping experiences. Some retreats ask you to shower your secret sister with handmade goodies throughout the trip. However, this time we decided to set a more relaxed atmosphere. We will just do 1 exchange with a medium to large item customized to your partners likes. Later we will provide you a google form to sign up to gather more information.
We will also have a daily swap game where we will swap small handmade gifts such as a zipper pouch, a pin cushion, a drawstring bag, and your favorite notion swap. More details will be provided. We want to keep these low stress. So if you don’t have time to do one of the projects before retreat time no worries participation in every swap will optional and you’ll only swap if your item is complete.
Retreat experience
I love leaving retreats with completing a project so we will be hosting a small project each day to complete at the retreat, these will be totally optional if you would prefer to work on your own projects. The retreat interery will be light so there will be plenty of time to just relax and sew. More details of the projects will be provided, but at this time we are thinking a EPP project, some scrappy appliquéd sea creatures, and a tote bag.
